Shelly Jean HOFMANN Missing from Port Alberni, BC. 2016
The Port Alberni RCMP is continuing its investigation into the disappearance of 49 year old Port Alberni resident, Shelly Jean HOFMANN. File # 2016-5779
Members of the General Investigation Section along with other members of the detachment remain active in their search for Shelly. Investigators continue to seek the public’s assistance.
Shelly hasn’t been seen since June 24th, 2016. She was last seen in the 3000 block of 3rd Ave in downtown Port Alberni, in front of Alberni Community & Women’s Services Society (ACAWS). Shelly HOFMANN is a Port Alberni resident with family ties in Vancouver and Nanaimo. She is described as a 49 year old Caucasian woman, 5 feet tall, 150 lbs, with blue eyes and short grey hair. Shelly is often seen walking around downtown Port Alberni and she has a very distinctive walk. She has a pronounced limp almost rocking from side to side and is hunched forward.
“We would like to take the opportunity to ask the public once again, if you have any information about Shelly’s disappearance, please contact Port Alberni RCMP investigators or if you wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers”, states Corporal Amelia HAYDEN, of the Port Alberni RCMP. “What may seem inconsequential to you, may be the missing link in this investigative puzzle. Everything is important.”
