Kyle MACDONALD
On August 30, 2007, Kyle MACDONALD (24 yrs old) was dropped off by his girlfriend in Victoria's Inner Habour, where he boarded an 11:20 am Harbour Air flight to Vancouver. Kyle told his girlfriend he was going on a fishing trip. Kyle was carrying a Calvin Klein duffel bag, tackle box, small fishing rod, wearing shorts, a T-shirt and 'flip-flop' sandals.
At the time of his disappearance, Kyle lived in Shawnigan Lake. Since this investigation commenced, numerous inquiries have been conducted by investigators. Despite this, no leads have surfaced to explain where Kyle is, or what has become of him.
The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit is assisting the Shawnigan Lake RCMP in this investigation. Given the time that has elapsed, and the totality of the information investigators have, foul play cannot be ruled out.
"Today marks the third anniversary of Kyle's disappearance. Despite the efforts of Kyle's family, and investigators, we still don't know what happened to him", states Cpl. Darren Lagan of the Vancouver Island RCMP.
"Kyle vanished, leaving his family with many unanswered questions, and the pain of living life without him. If you can help answer the questions surrounding Kyle's disappearance, please call police immediately."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cpl. Joe HOUBEN with the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit at 250-380-6200 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS)
