Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving the following crime:
Local stores continue to be hit hard by shoplifters.
On Thursday February 28th at approximately 10:50 pm, a shoplifter ran out of the Wal-Mart store located at 3355 Johnston Rd with a cart full of unpaid merchandise.
The shoplifter had entered Wal-Mart and filed a shopping cart full of with more than 90 pieces of various merchandise. The store’s Assistant Manager noticed the suspect as he tried to hide himself as he was making his way through the store. When the suspect proceeded towards the main entrance, the manager approached him asking for a receipt at which time the suspect ran out the door pushing the cart with $2600 worth of merchandise. The suspect ran into the parking area, was confronted by a motorist and hit a curb with the cart before fleeing on foot. Police patrols were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect returned to the store two days later with another individual and stole more items.
The suspect is described as a man, possibly of First Nations descent, approximately 30 to 35 year old, 5’10” tall, 140 to 150 lbs, with short dark hair brush cut style and clean shaven. He was wearing a navy blue Carhart jacket and black pants.
