Date of Crime
Around 6:30 am on Friday August 24th, an unknown person was observed exiting a home in the 3600 block of 10th Ave.
The residence had been boarded up as a result of a residential fire which had occurred a few days prior and the home was unoccupied. The suspect had gained access to the unoccupied building by forcing the front door. Once inside, the suspect moved throughout the home and some fixtures inside the home were damaged. A neighbour noticed the activity around the home and contacted police.
The suspect fled the scene on foot eastbound through an alley towards Burde St. after the witness called him out. As the suspect fled, he dropped his backpack which contained an assortment of Break and Enter tools and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect is described as an indigenous man in his late 20’s, approximately 6 feet tall, with a slim build, a shaved head and pock marked face.
