Date of Crime

- November 25, 2018

3300 Block of Johnston Road

Between Friday November 23rd and Sunday November 25th, an unknown man has entered the Wal-Mart store in Port Alberni at least three times and shoplifted several items each time.
On Friday at approx. 11:25 am, the male suspect walked out of Wal-Mart carrying several electronics and some clothing items.
This same man returned to the store later that same day at approx. 9:30 pm wearing the coveralls he’d stolen earlier in the day and stole more electronics.
Then on Sunday Nov. 25th at 11:10 am, the loss prevention officer had caught the same man yet again attempting to steal from the Wal-Mart. The loss prevention officer was outside patrolling when he observed the man come running outside from a nearby emergency exit carrying items from the store. The loss prevention officer gave chase and the man eventually dropped the items and jumped into a black F350 pickup truck and drove away. The truck was later found to be stolen out of Nanaimo and was seen later that same day in the Whiskey Creek area.
The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 25-years-old, wearing a black baseball hat with a star on it, navy hoodie with "Dickies" on the front, and blue jeans.
Also in the truck was a First Nations woman, 25-30 years old with brown eyes, long curly brown hair wearing a light grey jacket and there was possibly a young child in the backseat.
